Brian Kickhoefer

Brian Kickhoefer grew up in the Dallas area and attended Berkner High School, where he was a member of the “Mighty Ram” marching band for four years as a tuba player under the direction of Bob Floyd. After graduating from Berkner in 1989, he attended Hardin-Simmons University, where he played tuba in the World Famous Cowboy Band under the direction of Scott Mather until his graduation from HSU in 1993. He met his wife, Laura, at Hardin-Simmons University and they were married in 1994. After college, he worked at Caldwell Music in Abilene where he called on multiple high school marching bands renting, selling, servicing band instruments to their students. In 1995, he and his family moved to Coppell, TX where he began working for his father at Sales Southwest, a manufacturer’s representative selling products to food and drug stores in Texas and New Mexico. In 2001, he moved his family to San Antonio where he began working for the company that he now owns, Pinnacle Sales Southwest. He and Laura have three daughters: Kelsey, Kourtney, and Kacey who all attended Claudia Taylor Johnson High School and were in the CTJ marching band. Kelsey played bassoon and baritone, while Kourtney and Kacey were members of the Color Guard. During the time his daughters were at CTJ, Brian was a member of the Claudia Taylor Johnson Band Parent Association (CTJBPA) where he served in many positions on the executive board.
